Care Sheet

When should I hold my hedgehog?

7am-1pm: Your hedgie goes to bed around 7:30am. I would leave your hedgehog alone during this time for sleep.

1pm-6pm: Your hedgehog will still be sleepy during these hours but you can take advantage of bonding bag time! Just let your hedgehog sleep in the bonding bag while it picks up your scent.

6pm-bedtime: These are waking hours for your hedgehog and they will be more active. Holding in the bonding bag may be a little more difficult as they wake up.  However, hold your hedgehog and let it explore if there are no signs of stress.

To print out a copy of the care sheets, place the cursor on the care sheet and a small box will appear on the right hand corner of the document. Click the box and the document will expand and can then be printed.
